Time to Settle in for a Long Winters Nap……….

    By Gina | November 5, 2009

On Halloween morning, my husband spotted a squirrel outside gathering branches with leaves. He called me over and we both watched out the window as this squirrel was creating, what seemed to be, his winter home.

He was definitely on a mission. He would look for a perfect branch with leaves on it, and he seemed quite picky, and bite through the branch to break it off and then scurry back to his future home and pack this branch into the others. It was truly amazing to watch nature at work.

It made me realize that the cold must be on its way. My husband and I know that animals are so much more in tune with nature and this squirrel probably knew, intuitively, that it was time to make his safe and cozy winter abode.

It made me develop a bit more respect for the way nature works and I know sometimes I would dread winter coming, but if we didn’t have the winter, we wouldn’t have the other beautiful change of seasons. There really is a purpose to everything and I feel more and more connected with this revelation.

So I’ve decided to cultivate what I need for my safe and cozy winter abode.

Here are a few of them:

I’m choosing to experience a really cozy winter.

    How about you?

What are some things that you love that will bring some warm and cozy feelings to your winter-time abode?

    Choose to Enjoy!
